Anxiety Counselling

Counselling for anxiety can support you to find balance and feel more grounded. Together, we might explore the root causes of your anxiety, working to understand what might be driving it and what you might need in order to move forward. If needed, we’ll also explore tools and strategies to support you to build greater self-acceptance and resilience.

Counselling for low self-esteem

Counselling for low self-esteem can support you to tackle limiting beliefs, build self- compassion and understand your blocks. I’ll work with you to build on your inner strengths and resilience, helping you to gain greater confidence and self-worth. Through tailored support, you’ll move towards feeling more able to deal with life’s challenges and uncertainties

Counselling for relationship issues

Counselling for relationship issues can support you to understand relationship patterns and navigate challenging times. Perhaps you are having family issues or you keep being pulled into the same unhealthy relationship dynamics with romantic partners. Therapy can help you to build firmer boundaries, improve communication and offers a confidential space to reflect and explore

Work stress and burnout

Work stress can leak into every aspect of life leading to chronic over-functioning and burnout. Counselling for work stress and burnout can help you to understand the behaviours that may have led you to this point and support you to make healthier choices and prioritise self-care

Depression and low mood

Depression and low mood can sometimes develop as a result of particular changes in your life and at other times there does not seem to be a specific  ‘cause.’  Counselling can support you to explore what’s happening and navigate feelings of sadness and hopelessness. Together, we can explore ways to cope with what you are going through.

Grief and bereavement Counselling

Grief counselling can help you to process loss, pain, or difficult experiences. Sometimes unresolved grief can lead to other issues such as addiction or over-functioning. I will support you with compassion to explore difficult emotions that may be keeping you stuck.

Counselling for trauma

Counselling for trauma can take many forms and I will always assess whether a specialist service may be more appropriate for your needs. Whether you wish to look at trauma that occurred in childhood, perhaps through an adverse life event or something more recent, therapy can help you to make sense of what happened and develop healthier ways of responding, supporting you to restore a sense of safety and control

Parenting and carer struggles

Counselling for parenting struggles can support you to navigate the complexities of raising children and the range of emotions it can bring up. Counselling can support you to understand your own childhood and how this impacts on your parenting style as well as providing a space to share the difficulties of birth and beyond

Personal development

Counselling can be supportive at any time in your life and you may find it a useful space for personal development, to understand yourself better, to tackle unhelpful behaviours or set meaningful goals for the future

  • Reaching out for support can feel daunting. I offer a free no-obligation 15 minute phone call to discuss your needs and answer any questions you might have.

  • I offer a reduced rate 50 minute initial session where we can explore what has brought you to therapy, your goals and whether I am best placed to support you.

  • All further 50 minute sessions are at my standard rate of £65 and can be either on a short-term (6-12 weeks) or open ended basis depending on your needs.
